Minister Sebrena Wood

National Minister

Sebrena Wood is the eldest living child of Bishop Johnnie L. Woods, Jr. and Mother Yolanda Woods. She began her music ministry as a pianist for her father at the young age of 9 years old and is currently the Minister of Music at the Joyful Noise AOH Church of God in Sylacauga, AL.

She attained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Information Systems with a minor in English and Music Theory at Jacksonville State University where her musical background includes her as one of the first musicians of the Jacksonville State University’s Gospel Choir. While attending there, she created her own Women’s Ensemble and began training other young pianists as well. She has played for several choirs and groups throughout the state of Alabama as well as conducted musical workshops statewide and surrounding states of Georgia and Mississippi. In June 2012, she was made National Minister of Music of the Apostolic Overcoming Holy Church of God, by the Honorable National presiding prelate, Bishop George W. Ayers. Her love for God, music and her untiring support of her father’s ministry is her continued passion to minister the power of God’s Word through music and song.

In addition to her musical background, Sis. Wood accepted her calling into the ministry on September 7, 2008 and became a licensed minister in the A.O.H. Church of God in June of 2009. She has ministered the Word throughout the state of Alabama and additionally the states of California, Washington, and Mississippi. Her desire is to minister the Word of God to His people through divine impartation and inspiration. She is married to the love of her life, Terry W. Wood, and mother to their three beautiful daughters: Gabrianna, Christiana and Teriana Wood. She has taught high school English for the past five years at Victory Christian School in Pell City, AL. where she additionally served as After-School Care director and as a worship leader on the school’s chapel worship team. In August of 2023, she transitioned to Duran Junior High School of Pell City Schools teaching English and Language Arts, serving as second sponsor to the Student Government Association and recently coordinated the school’s Spelling Bee for 2023. She is committed to remaining humble and to be used only as a vessel to speak LIFE to the Kingdom of God.
